According to researches and records, the deepest spot of this lake is at the South of Vernon, Ellison Park, at 232 meters.

The bottom of the lake consists of around 750m glacial material, gravel, and non-glacial slit. The bedrock below these materials is around 640 meters beneath that of sea level. In fact, the surface of the lake water is 342 meters above that of the sea level.
