Our Scholarship Winners’ Journey Towards Financial Responsibility

We are thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to the two remarkable individuals who have emerged as the winners of this year’s scholarship program. Among a large pool of successful applications, these two stand out for their profound insights and commitment to financial responsibility. It is with great pleasure that we announce Reine Alaji and Reece Legouilloux as recipients of the Matte & Associates Post-Secondary Scholarship.

Reine Alaji

Reine’s essay beautifully highlights how her unique background has profoundly influenced her perception of financial responsibility. Her heartfelt appreciation for her parents and the sense of empowerment derived from disciplined financial planning have been instrumental in laying the foundation for her dreams and freeing her from the stress of financial uncertainty. In the fall, Reine will begin her university studies with a major in economics, aspiring to pursue a career as either an investment banker or in the field of international law.

“I have come to appreciate the virtues of perseverance, resourcefulness, and adaptability, which have become integral pillars in my personal financial strategy”. - Reine Alaji

Reece Legouilloux

Reece's essay revolves around the significance of self-reliance and the privilege of financial independence. She emphasizes the importance of grit and conscientious decision-making in achieving this goal. For Reece, financial responsibility is not just about personal accountability but also the opportunity to ensure safety and security for herself and future generations. As she prepares to embark on her college journey this fall, Reece is looking to pursue a career as a Charted Professional Accountant (CPA), using her financial knowledge and responsibility to make a positive impact in her chosen profession.

“Financial responsibility is the opportunity to dance through life without the burdens of debt, be independent, and provide security to those you love.” - Reece Legouilloux

Congratulations once again to Reine and Reece! Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, passion, and dedication. We are honored to have them as recipients of our scholarship and look forward to witnessing their continued growth and positive impact in their respective fields.  As we celebrate the accomplishments of these deserving recipients, we also extend an invitation to all clients who have grade 12 students in their family to keep an eye out for our scholarship program next year.

Sincerely,

The team at Matte & Associates Financial Solutions
